Committed to meeting the basic needs of clothing, nutrition & hygiene for children birth thru five from families of limited resources focusing on the Scott/Western Carver County Community.

Our Work

SCA is a 501c3 registered non-profit staffed exclusively by volunteers with our space donated by St. John's Lutheran church Shakopee as an active partner. This allows us to commit 100% of all donations directly to our mission of providing basic needs for families in need from Scott County with young children .  In addition, we are blessed to have a number of local churches, civic organizations, and business help to support us financially.

Donations & Distribution

Clothing, food, feminine hygiene products, diapers, and financial donations are crucial for us to continue to offer services to our local families in need as our client base continues to grow.

Shakopee Community Assistance is committed to providing the basic necessities of food/formula, clothing/bedding, diapers, and feminine hygiene products for children birth to 4 years of age from local families in need. Our organization has been committed to helping those in need since October 15th, 2014.

Every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday (2:00-6:00 pm) we offer for free to all:

  • Diaper Distribution once monthly SCA clients w/current mail
  • Period supplies available monthly with name/address verification once
  • Clothing always available & larger items by request
  • Community Resources
  • Cafeteria open to public 4:00-5:45 for beverages/snacks
  • Donation Drop-off  |  1:00 - 5:30pm
  • Toy Corner Monday 3:00-6:00 / Tuesday 2:00-6:00
